Chris Tourtellotte serves as a Managing Director of LaTerra. LaTerra has more than 4,500 residential units and over 400,000 square feet of Self Storage properties with combined portfolio value at completion currently estimated to exceed $3 billion.
In March 2026, LaTerra acquired Aimco’s seven property, 1,495-unit Chicago portfolio for $455M.
Prior to joining LaTerra, Mr. Tourtellotte spent 7 years at Prudential Global Investment Management (PGIM), a global real estate private equity investment fund manager with over $50 billion of gross assets under management. Most recently at PGIM, Mr. Tourtellotte held the position of Director, overseeing $1B in development activity across the west coast. Additionally, Chris helped close over $1 billion in acquisitions across multiple property types and layers of the capital stack.
Mr. Tourtellotte co-founded SnowGlobe Music Festival, which was ultimately acquired by MTV. SnowGlobe is a world-renowned annual music festival (featuring the largest musical acts in the world) drawing over 50,000 attendees over the three-day event. Mr. Tourtellotte was responsible for raising the capital, and structuring and negotiating the investment documents prior to the inaugural 2011 festival.
Chris makes frequent media appearances that include Fox news, Wall Street Journal, CNBC, The LA Times, Dallas Business Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal, The Real Deal, California Insider, and more. In both 2025 and 2026, Mr. Tourtellotte was honored by The Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the “Los Angeles 500 Most Influential People”.
