Philip Raphals is a distinguished figure in the field of sustainable energy policy. He is founder and CIO of NovoPower International Inc., a startup developing waste-heat-to-power solutions for data centres and industrial waste heat. He is also co-founder and Executive Director of the Helios Centre, an independent research organization focused on policies for sustainability in the energy sector. Philip has provided expert testimony to regulatory tribunals and environmental assessments panels across Canada. He has also served on committees, advisory panels, and received accolades such as the 2023 Climate Solutions Breakthrough Research Award (with Concordia University), for NovoPower’s pioneering work.
