Peter Gudonis is the Head of Development at CityPads, a Chicago- and Los Angeles-based real estate development firm specializing in attainable, high-density urban housing. With more than a decade of cross-functional experience spanning architecture, construction, and real estate development, Peter has successfully led the delivery of more than 1,500 residential units across major U.S. markets.
At CityPads, Peter oversees the firm’s development pipeline from initial concept and site acquisition through construction and delivery. He is responsible for executing the firm’s core strategy: creating design-forward, transit-oriented communities in highly walkable urban neighborhoods.
Prior to joining CityPads, Peter spent five years at Sterling Bay, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s portfolio into the multifamily sector. During his tenure, he directed high-profile residential, hotel, and mixed-use developments in prime institutional submarkets, including Chicago’s Fulton Market and Michigan Avenue corridors.
Peter began his career in architecture, establishing a foundation in technical design and project execution that informs his development philosophy today. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and currently resides in Chicago with his family.
