Gus Alfonso

Gus Alfonso is the Managing Partner and CEO of Florida Value Partners (“FVP”). He has helped guide the company’s growth from $50M in real estate assets under management in 2008 to over $1 billion in acquired assets by 2019 and AUM of over $1.3 billion, including an investment portfolio that spans 11 U.S States.

Mr. Alfonso has managed several high-profile acquisitions, including FVP’s 2012 acquisition of a 3,400-unit multifamily portfolio from LNR and the acquisition of the John Hancock Center in Chicago. He is also responsible for managing the acquisition of over 7,000 units of value-add multifamily investments and FVP’s participation in the development of over 1,000 residential units in the South Florida area.

He is also a co-founding partner – alongside NKP Capital and Leon Mayor & Co. – of Endeavor Schools (a leading top 10 private school operator in the United States), which the partnership sold in 2017 to LEEDs Equity Partners. Mr. Alfonso represents FVP’s interest in two private investment funds with over $1.5 billion in land and development projects in several U.S. markets. He is responsible for the launch of FVP’s development company which is involved in South Florida development projects, including the development of Lazul Apartments (350 units) in North Miami Beach, Park Vista Apartments (212 units) in Hialeah, Ludlum Trails Apartments (314 units) and several other ongoing projects in Downtown Dadeland and the Miami-Dade County Urban Core.
