Glenn Rudy joined Newmark Retail Capital Markets in 2015 as a managing director in the firm’s Newport Beach, California, office. With more than 25 years of experience in the shopping center industry, Mr. Rudy has participated in the sale or financing of more than 400 properties with an aggregate value in excess of $5 Billion. He has transacted on properties for both private, individual clients and large institutions throughout the Western United States.
Mr. Rudy joined Newmark after a successful tenure as a director of capital markets within Cushman & Wakefield’s Western Retail Advisors. From the time he joined his partners, Pete Bethea and Rob Ippolito, at Cushman & Wakefield in 2011 until their move to Newmark, the trio executed the sale of over 50 properties totaling nearly $3 Billion.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Rudy served as managing director of Capital Real Estate Advisors in West Los Angeles, responsible for overseeing a disciplined acquisition platform for the company’s internal portfolio. Additionally, Mr. Rudy was responsible for managing all lines of its third-party real estate services to the firm’s twelve high-net-worth family offices it represented exclusively. While under Mr. Rudy’s oversight, the firm’s investment portfolio tripled in overall size, while its service lines generated an increase of more than 75% of its gross revenues
