Jake Weissberg serves as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate for Community Oncology Partners. Jake leads COP’s nationwide real estate strategy, overseeing the acquisition, financing, and development of the sites where COP’s clinics deliver care. He works closely with physician partners, giving them the opportunity to co-invest in the properties their practices occupy.
For Jake, this work is personal. His mother is a three-time cancer survivor, and through each of her battles she had access to the kind of care every patient deserves. Seeing what that care meant for her, and for his whole family, made something clear to him: where you live or what socioeconomic background you come from should not dictate the quality of care you receive. Jake’s mission is to build spaces that bring top-tier cancer care into the communities that need it most, so that every patient has an equal opportunity to get the treatment his mother did.
Before joining COP, Jake spent more than 13 years building his family’s paper and packaging company. Rising to executive vice president of operations, he was instrumental in growing sales, strengthening operations, and positioning the business for a successful sale to private equity. He then served as vice president of operations at GenNx360 Capital Partners, a private equity firm, where he supported a nationwide portfolio of packaging companies on operational improvement and growth. Jake also manages a family real estate portfolio that includes multifamily and commercial properties.
Jake earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational studies, with a focus on business management, from Pitzer College, where he also played collegiate soccer.
