Mike Nimon

Mike’s passion for economic development spans 20 years of experience. Mike oversees economic development in Walnut Creek and is focused on the City’s business attraction, business retention, small business support programs, and downtown vitality. In his prior role as an Economic Development Director in Vallejo he oversaw downtown and waterfront redevelopment, Mare Island conveyance and Specific Plan formation, City’s real estate portfolio management, land disposition and developer negotiations, brownfield clean up, and support to the Economic Development Commission. Mike has a Masters in Business Administration with Real Estate specialization from Florida State University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics / Management Science from the University of California, San Diego. Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his two kids.
