Matt Hiller joined George Smith Partners in 2024, leveraging his extensive real estate finance experience to help developers capitalize projects and navigate capital markets. Matt started his career at Grant Thornton where he advised on the management of impaired credit portfolios and distressed debt transactions. He then joined ACRES Capital to assist in their acquisition of a distressed mortgage REIT. Post-closing, he handled REO workouts, loan sales, underwriting, and originations. Most recently, Matt led originations at Clearwater Capital, a capital markets advisory firm.
Matt holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Arkansas and an M.S. in Real Estate from NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.
