Ben Schlegel is a Capital Services Professional at Ariel Property Advisors. In this role, he is responsible for debt and equity placement, with a focus on multifamily and mixed-use properties across the U.S., including financing for construction, renovations, acquisitions and refinancing.
Prior to joining Ariel Property Advisors, Mr. Schlegel was Director of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at EcoRise Development LLC, a New York-based real estate investment and development firm focused on multifamily properties. He previously served as an Associate at Trevian Capital, where he focused on sourcing, underwriting, and due diligence of commercial and multifamily bridge loan opportunities, and on the acquisitions teams at PAG Investments and JEM Holdings. He began his career in the Commercial Real Estate Group at Israel Discount Bank of New York (IDB).
In 2026, Commercial Observer named Mr. Schlegel as one of its Power Young Professionals. In recognition of his performance, Ariel promoted him to Senior Director in March 2026 and he received Ariel’s Rising Star Award in 2025.
Mr. Schlegel earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University, and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Union College.
