The Ada Arevalo is the Founder & CEO of iimpact capital, a gender-lens real estate platform that invests with women-owned and -led managers to develop and preserve affordable housing. The platform’s unique gender-lens strategy addresses gender disparities in housing to generate equitable and sustainable value to all stakeholders. As the leader of the organization, Ada is responsible for the creation and implementation of the vision, mission, and values of the organization. 

In a career that spans almost two decades, Ada began her career in affordable housing property management and eventually transitioned into public accounting. The combination of both career tracks, coupled with a personal mission to advance disadvantaged communities, created a strong foundation from which she built success in impact investing and affordable housing. In the last 12 years, Ada has served in senior executive roles leading fund management, institutional capital raising, and impact investing initiatives for major affordable housing managers.  

For her multifaceted experience and achievements, Ada has been recognized as a Woman of Influence and Industry Innovator, and is often requested to speak as an expert in housing, ESG/impact investing, and DE&I.  

In addition to being a public speaker, Ada is committed to utilizing her time and professional insights to serving various private and non-profit boards. She currently serves as Founding Chair of REĀL (Real Estate Association of Latinx Professionals) as well as an advisory board member to multiple mission-driven real estate organizations such as Comunidad Partners, Innovative Housing Opportunities, and CREUnited (led by Walker Dunlap). Recently, Ada was appointed to GRESB Foundation’s Real Estate Expert Resources Group. Ada rounds out her professional board experience with community focused non-profit boards such as Professional Child Development Associates, an organization providing multidisciplinary services for children and young adults with Autism and other developmental challenges.
