Susan Tjarksen is an international expert on the next generation of multifamily assets, including both traditional models and niches such as coliving, SFRs, STRs, manufactured housing and modular construction. She has written industry deﬁning papers on multifamily developments and the several sub- asset classes, speaking at NMHC, ULI, RELA, and MIPIM. She has been a leading force in assisting clients integrate affordable and inclusionary housing, ESG initiatives and technology into their multifamily and mixed-use developments.
Susan founded KIG CRE, a multifamily brokerage in 2015, selling the firm to Cushman & Wakefield in 2018. Susan is also a cofounder of Enodo, Inc., an automated multifamily valuation platform with a successful exit to Walker & Dunlop in 2019.
Susan has more than 30 years of real estate experience working with both private and public investment institutions throughout the US and across the globe with successful fund raising for projects in every major US Gateway market as well as Dublin, IR, Barcelona, Spain, Berlin, Germany, Toronto, Canada, Lagos, Nigeria and Melbourne, Australia.
