Sean Gulian

Sean Gulian currently leads Nuveen’s US West Region Housing Acquisitions and Dispositions, managing transaction activity across the firm’s active housing funds, including open-end core and core-plus funds, closed-end value-add funds, and separate account vehicles. Sean also spearheads the California Multifamily Tax-Exempt Bond Acquisition Program on behalf of CASA Value-Add Series of Funds and separate accounts, focusing on sourcing, structuring, and executing investments in the market-rate and partially affordable housing sectors, utilizing tax-exempt bond financing. Additionally, Sean oversees multifamily development initiatives in the US West Region for Nuveen. Prior to Nuveen, Sean served as Director of Acquisitions and Head of the Essential Housing Tax-Exempt Bond Investment Platform at Waterford Property Company, amassing over $2.1 Billion in multifamily assets for the company. Previously, he worked in capital markets advisory roles at Eastdil Secured and HFF, successfully originating and executing over $36 Billion of multifamily investment sales and equity placement transactions. Sean began his career at Deloitte Consulting in their Real Estate Consulting Group and holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
