Roger Caldwell

Firm Clean Power Corporation
Chief Executive Officer

Roger Caldwell, CEO of Firm Clean Power, is a chemical engineer who launched his career in Silicon Valley during the 1980s, developing foundational semiconductor technology. His entrepreneurial experience fueled a deep understanding of intellectual property, leading to over 12 patents spanning communications, microchip processing, renewable energy, biomass, AI, and clean energy storage. In 2011, as Director of Energy Storage at Sun Edison, Caldwell conceptualized underground pumped-hydro energy storage (UPHES), recognizing its future potential. He also oversaw the installation of India’s first one-megawatt solar plant and managed projects across more than a dozen countries. Caldwell later served eight years as chief innovation officer, where he developed technology roadmaps and managed resources in carbon capture and utilization, digital twin AI, and clean chemicals. He founded Firm Clean Power in March 2025, with the mission of decarbonizing large electrical grids by integrating solar, wind, UPHES, and large loads like data centers.
