Jimena Sayavedra

Jimena Sayavedra is specialized in all aspects of industrial real estate. She represents C-level executives, supply chain professionals, industrial developers and business owners. She advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leases, site selection, sale/leasebacks, and investment properties.

Since joining Newmark, Jimena has successfully utilized its comprehensive platform of real estate resources to provide clients with first class services, and expanded her role to serve clients nationally and internationally.

Prior to joining Newmark, she successfully built her industrial/commercial real estate business at Paine Wetzel, a Chicago firm specialized in Industrial and Office Real Estate services. Before starting her commercial real estate career, Sayavedra worked as an Urban Planner in various roles in Public Engagement consulting and in Regional Planning where she gained immense experience in long range planning, GIS, demographic and market analysis.

Jimena is a 2013 Project REAP graduate and current Board Member.

As an active member of the real estate industry, Sayavedra is a 2022 Board Member of AIRE (Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers), Board Member of Industrial Women in Real Estate (IWIRE), 2022 Chair for Commercial Forum of Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR). She is also involved in charitable endeavors, including as a director and past president of the Argentina Chicago Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for building and renovating schools in impoverished rural areas of Argentina.

Sayavedra received her master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy with a specialization in Economic Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She is a fluent speaker of both English and Spanish.

She is an avid runner and has completed 27 marathons including Boston, Chicago and New York Marathons.
