CBRE announced that Jessica Lall has joined as Managing Director overseeing the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office. Ms. Lall, a well-known and highly regarded business and community leader, is responsible for strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for CBRE’s Advisory Services business in the Downtown LA market including leasing, sales, valuations, debt and structured finance, and property management across all property types.

Previously, Ms. Lall was the President and CEO of Central City Association (CCA) of Los Angeles for six years, a premier advocacy organization focused on elevating the vibrancy of Downtown LA.

“As a well-respected executive and community leader who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Downtown LA, Jessica brings a unique perspective to the important role commercial real estate plays in the overall health and vitality of the broader business environment and community,” said Lew Horne, President of CBRE’s Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire regions.

In her role leading CCA, Ms. Lall represented more than 300 large employers, small businesses, nonprofits, and trade associations in LA County, with the mission of increasing housing and economic opportunity in the region. Currently, she serves as a mayor-appointed Commissioner on the Los Angeles Homelessness Services Authority (LAHSA).

“CBRE has long been a valued and engaged partner on a wide range of important issues in Downtown Los Angeles. I’m honored to join the company and look forward to continuing to focus on ensuring Downtown LA thrives – now through the lens of commercial real estate which has an immense impact on the strength and vibrancy of our community,” said Ms. Lall.

Ms. Lall follows Andy Ratner in leading CBRE’s Downtown LA office. Mr. Ratner now oversees the firm’s West LA office and the Occupier Business in the Greater Los Angeles region.

Ms. Lall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Southern California (USC).
