Casey Gilchrist joined the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in January of 2022 as the Senior Director of International Business Development. Casey has a decade of experience in the economic development industry, having first started in Chesapeake, Virginia where she specialized in domestic and international business attraction. In 2020, she joined the City of Richmond, Virginia’s economic development department to oversee both its business attraction and retention programs. During her tenure in Richmond, Casey helped contribute to over $850 million in capital investment and assisted in announcing over 2,000 new jobs.
Since joining GPEC, Casey has helped attract companies from Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Denmark resulting in over $221 million in new capital investment to the region.
In addition to leading projects and strategy from Canada and countries in Europe, Casey also leads GPEC’s International Leadership Council (ILC). In 2023, she received recognition by her peers as one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers.
