Brian Brodeur currently serves as Executive Vice President of Development and Construction Management for Article’s Student Living sector, overseeing the entire development cycle including identifying new opportunities, managing internal development staff and external consultant teams, and overseeing project delivery and turnover to end users.
Prior to joining Article Student Living, Brian spent 10 years with the Vancouver-based Onni Group, and most recently served as Vice President of Development, Illinois and Washington, where he managed the development pipelines and staff for projects located within Chicago, Illinois and Seattle/Bellevue, Washington markets while also assisting with company growth by fostering relationships with local stakeholders within the community and municipalities.
In his more than 13 years of experience, Brian has delivered over 1,800 residential units in Chicago. Brian holds a BS in Architectural Studies from The University of Illinois and a Master of Real Estate Development and a Master of Architecture from The University of Maryland.
For the past 10 years Brian has been on the steering committee for The Chicago Commercial Real Estate Award Dinner begetting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The annual event is the single largest fund-raiser that supports the Food Depository and their partner food pantries. Brian is currently the executive chair for the 2024 event.
