Tania Kadakia is the Founder of Wrought Iron Partners (WIP), a community initiatives and affordable housing consulting and development firm.  Tania founded WIP to bring her 25+ years of expertise in project development, complex finance and organizational capacity building to community development focused real estate developers, foundations and municipalities nationwide.  WIP is mission and impact-driven, prioritizing positive social and economic outcomes as integral to projects.  

WIP is lead content creator for the NextGen capacity building initiative sponsored by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Illinois Housing Development Authority.  Prior to forming WIP, Tania created the housing division for a Chicago-based commercial development firm, winning funding awards and growing staff capacity.  Tania has led housing and mixed-use projects valued at multiple hundreds of millions of dollars through leadership positions at nationally recognized and high impact finance and real estate development firms including BMO Harris Bank, National Equity Fund, Enterprise Community Investments, DL3 Realty and Holsten Development.  

Tania currently serves as a Mayoral appointee on the board of the Chicago Housing Trust and is a founding member of the Women’s Affordable Housing Network.  Past board participations include Rebuilding Exchange, Community Investment Corporation, and Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation.   Tania is a frequent speaker at housing industry events, and an active mentor.
