Scott Sowanick joined Stream in 2015 and currently serves as a Managing Director of the Industrial Development Services division. Based in Irvine, California, Scott is responsible for the strategic direction, deal origination, capitalization, and overall execution of all industrial development efforts in the Western Region. Since 2019, he has originated an over 3.0 million square foot development portfolio in Southern California and has secured an additional 4.5 million square foot development pipeline within the region. In 2022, Scott was selected as one of Commercial Property Executive’s “Stars to Watch,” an annual recognition of 20 rising commercial real estate leaders aged 40 and under. In 2020, Scott was selected to sit on Stream’s Women of Stream Sub-Committee, which focuses on addressing gender diversity, inclusion, mentorship, and the recruitment and retention for women within the firm.
Prior to Stream, Scott earned his Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and before business school, he served as a Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s global institutional equities business where he worked in New York, London, and San Francisco.
Outside of his responsibilities at Stream, Scott is also a Member of NAIOP – Inland Empire Chapter, a Council Member for the Texas Real Estate Center at The University of Texas at Austin, and an Alumni Mentor for the Princeton Men’s Lacrosse Program.
