John Basile is a Executive Vice President with NAI Hiffman’s Industrial Services Group. A
15-year commercial real estate industry veteran, John advises clients both locally and across
North America, partnering with owners, tenants, landlords, and developers in their commercial
real estate strategies. John also works with multi-market clients across North America to
penetrate new markets, exit under-performing markets and maximize supply chain efficiencies.
John’s clients benefit from his creative solutions specific to their industry and markets and
are able to leverage his accrued relationships and experience. Additionally, he has significant
experience in the Food and Cold Storage sector including leasing, sales, and ground-up
Before joining NAI Hiffman John spent 9 years at Colliers International where he was a Vice
President and a member of Colliers’ Food Advisory Services Group, a national platform
developing and piloting best practices specifically tailored to companies specializing in food
production, distribution, and storage. Members must have significant experience in the food
and cold storage sector, and maintain high levels of relevant transactions. Our clients benefit
from creative solutions specific to their unique industry and are able to leverage our accrued
relationships and experience.
Preceding John’s entry into the real estate industry, he worked as a mental health counselor
at a local hospital’s adolescent psychiatric unit. During that time, he provided one-on-one and
group counseling to at risk youth suffering from mental illness and drug abuse.
John graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Psychology. While at U of C,
John was a varsity athlete, member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, member of Psi Chi
(International Honor Society in Psychology) and a 20+ hour/week student-employee. John went
on to complete his MBA at DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
John, his wife Kim, and three children reside in Lisle, IL and are active volunteers at their parish
church, where John also serves on the parish counsel. The Basile Family are also active
volunteers, fundraisers and ambassadors for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. John is
currently the chairman of the executive board of directors for Catholic Charities, and also sits
on their finance, housing development and Head Start committees
