Jay Porterfield is an Executive Director with PGIM Real Estate. In this role, he is responsible for the direct origination of multifamily debt on behalf of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and the company’s General Account. Jay is located in Dallas.
Jay joined the company in 2016. He has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance industry, and has originated more than $3 billion in mortgages during his career. Jay previously served as a vice president at Arbor Commercial Mortgage from 2007 to 2016. In that capacity, he primarily focused on originating Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, bridge, mezzanine and preferred equity transactions throughout the Southwest. His career includes leadership posts at Countrywide Commercial Real Estate Finance, LaSalle Bank Real Estate Capital Markets (ABN AMRO) and General Electric Commercial Finance Real Estate. Jay began his career with Archon Financial.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance and a Master of Science degree in economics from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University – Commerce).
