Clifford C. Cheng works in Project Origination and Acquisition for Sustainable Capital Finance. Mr. Cheng has had a long and distinguished career with almost 40 years of experience in the fields of real estate, finance and renewable energy. He started his career in real estate and mastered many sectors of the industry, including commercial brokerage, marketing, asset management, entitlements and development. That experience was invaluable in his transition to renewable energy sector, especially in the areas of finance, development and acquisition, both in projects and platforms.
Since 2009, he has financed countless renewable energy projects, bringing sponsor equity, tax equity and term debt to projects. His focus on renewable energy has been in solar, energy storage and EV Charging
He has leveraged his development and project finance expertise into the Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Sector, offering both development and financing solutions for portfolio property owners, creating operational energy savings while boosting NOI, property and portfolio values.
Mr. Cheng holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, at Berkeley.
